Unfortunately, referring to social or skill games as “gaming” puts them in the same basket with roulette and the likes. What is sure - and not very comforting - is the tendency to group everything under one umbrella term. ![]() A short trip down Google will make one realise how the internet is abuzz with contradictory definitions of the term. I wouldn’t blame anyone for feeling confused. By extension, saying that Gaming equals iGaming is very very wrong. To refer to a gambling activity as gaming is incorrect for it is only one part of a whole. Gaming on the other hand relates to gamification and building of casual games. Gambling, or as it is more commonly known today due to the diffusion of the web, iGaming, refers to anything related to odds, games of chance, and games which have a gambling element to them. I can almost hear you say, There is no difference. ![]()
